4. Wholesale Requirements & Tax Information

Texas Sales Tax

Texas wholesale customers will be charged applicable sales tax unless Millican Pecan has a signed Texas Sales and Use Tax Resale Certificate on file.

If you are a Texas reseller and have a resale certificate, please contact our team so we can make sure the appropriate documentation is on file.

5. Pecan Contracts

Millican Pecan is pleased to offer forward contracting for customers with larger or ongoing pecan requirements.

A pecan contract can help businesses lock in pricing for a future shipment and reduce the risk associated with changing pecan prices or limited availability.

If you use pecans as an ingredient in your products or need a dependable supply for the upcoming season, a forward contract may be an effective way to plan your costs and inventory.

6. Pecan Sizes & Grades

Our fresh orchard pecans come in a variety of sizes to meet different baking, retail, and food-production needs. Wholesale pecans are typically packaged in 30-pound cases, although we can accommodate different packaging requirements for certain orders.

Approximately 95% of the pecans we ship are "fancy" grade rather than the darker "choice" grade. Fancy grade pecans are generally lighter in color.

Pecan Halves

Pecan halves are categorized by the number of halves required to make one pound. Junior Mammoth is one of the most common sizes we sell.

Chopped Pecan Pieces

Pecan pieces are sized using round-hole screens. Large, medium, and small pieces are common choices for baking and food production.

Pecan Meal

Pecan meal, also known as pecan flour, passes through the smallest screen (through 4/64") and is useful for a variety of baking and culinary applications.
