Pecan Honey Ricotta Bruschetta

This easy bruschetta recipe is a nutty tribute to this traditional Italian appetizer. The mixture of honey and pecans on top of the ricotta is a nice, light option and the addition of basil tops this snack off well.

Ingredients

1 french baguette, sliced into ¼-inch slices

¼ cup olive oil

1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese

1/8 tsp. salt

2 cups Pecan Pieces

3 Tbl fresh basil, chopped

1/8 tsp. coarse black pepper

Instructions

  1. Drizzle the sliced bread with olive oil and toast both sides in a pan.

  2. Add salt and ricotta to a bowl and mix.

  3. Once the bread is toasted on both sides, smear ricotta cheese onto each slice.

  4. Top with pepper, pecans, basil and drizzle with honey.
