Angel Food Cake Delight with Pecans

Are you an angel food cake lover?  Take it up a notch and try this new pecan twist that you might just find... "delightful".


  • 1 angel food cake
  • 1 8oz. cool whip
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup Millican Pecan Halves
  • 1 large pkg. Jell-O Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, sliced


Break the angel food cake into pieces and place in a large bowl.  In another mixing bowl, mix the pudding mix according to directions on the container.  Stir well & add cool whip & sour cream.  Blend well & pour over the cake - stir cake around in the pudding.  In a single serving cup add a few spoonfuls of pecan pieces, then layer several spoonfuls of the cake mixture on top of the pecans. Then top with fresh, sliced strawberries or any berry of your choice. Consider garnishing with mint for a beautiful light dessert for family or friends.
